Southern Environmental Law Center reported filing an administrative appeal on behalf of the NAACP and Young, Gifted & Green challenging the initial South Memphis turbine permit and related department decisions. Southern Environmental Law Center reported sending a notice of intent to sue on behalf of the NAACP over alleged unpermitted gas-turbine operation at the initial South Memphis Colossus site. A notice of intent is a preliminary legal notice, not a filed lawsuit or an agency violation finding.
