Rules and source checks.
The county review below is separate from site-specific conditions and municipal or township zoning. It does not establish parcel permission or current compliance.
Maricopa County
Policy context found · Checked October 17, 2026.
The county reports adoption of its zoning update on December 10, 2025, effective January 9, 2026. The retained ordinance expressly defines data centers and separately lists data centers with compensatory power generation.
The checked current ordinance is distinct from earlier drafts. District/use-table cells were not adopted here as parcel-specific permissions. Unincorporated county rules are separate from Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler and other municipal codes; no facility approval or compliance is inferred.

The dated record.
The retained event log distinguishes announcements, scheduled dates and status-source checks. A review date is not an opening day. A target never becomes a completed event merely because time passes.

- Meta Mesa Data Center
Primary source review checked October 16, 2026. The current named Meta factsheet explicitly states on page 2 that Mesa went online in 2025. The year is not converted into an exact opening day.
