Counts describe this research collection. A label review is not a physical transition, an added record is not a new building, and a scheduled date does not establish that an event happened. Method and source rules.

Moratorium and restriction source reviews.
Moratorium record: proposed. Sources checked October 26, 2026.
City recap records first reading approval following the third public hearing for a proposed ninety day pause on acceptance, processing and approval of data center applications in the City and its extraterritorial jurisdiction.
The recap explicitly says this action did not put the pause into effect. Final reading is scheduled November4 and would require three fourths approval. November5 commencement and February3,2027 termination are conditional and are not stored as effective dates. A possible additional ninety days is not an adopted extension.
Moratorium record: proposed. Sources checked October 28, 2026.
Draft would pause data center commercial development within City municipal boundaries, City CCNs and the Denton Municipal Electric Certificated Service Area, with a stated Chapter 245 exception. Staff schedules December 1 Council consideration of enactment.
The retained instrument is an unsigned proposal with blank adoption and vote fields. Draft work plan target dates are not accomplished legal dates. Separate development code amendments do not establish moratorium enactment. Exact mapped coverage, individual project eligibility and present operation remain unverified.
Ban record: proposed. Sources checked October 28, 2026.
Draft permits data centers only in the M1 Industrial Park district with a Specific Use Permit and prohibits them in other zoning districts. It would cover principal and supporting facilities, restrict cooling water sources, require data center funded substations and prevent separate accessory classifications from avoiding the use permit.
This is a partial zoning prohibition with an M1 permitting exception, not a City wide ban. Draft text is not law in effect. A separate unsigned ordinance proposes calling a December1 joint hearing; blank adoption, vote and signature fields do not establish that call. Individual property eligibility and existing project rights remain unverified.
