Rules and source checks.
The county review below is separate from site-specific conditions and municipal or township zoning. It does not establish parcel permission or current compliance.
Bartow County
Policy context found · Checked October 17, 2026.
The signed county ordinance was adopted July 1, 2026 and states immediate effectiveness. Section 9.9 allows data centers in I-1, I-2 and BPD districts and conditionally in A-1, subject to development standards. It requires closed-loop cooling or a functionally equivalent technology, with buffers, setbacks, screening and noise requirements.
The ordinance is not a blanket permission for every parcel or proof any project complies. Accessory generation has its own limits and permitting requirements; its 300 MW firm-load limit is not data-center IT capacity. Cartersville city approvals are separate, including the existing site-specific INDO conditions. Later amendments and each parcel remain subject to review.

The dated record.
The retained event log distinguishes announcements, scheduled dates and status-source checks. A review date is not an opening day. A target never becomes a completed event merely because time passes.
