Source-dated entries

  1. QTS plans $250 million for Texas water and conservation work

    · QTS Data Centers

QTS says it plans to invest $250 million over ten years in Texas water infrastructure and stewardship projects. The company named a planned replacement for Turkey's water tower and future conservation partnerships among the intended uses.

  2. North Carolina issues Amazon and Duke air permits with added monitoring

    · North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality

DEQ reports final Richmond County permits covering 588 Amazon emergency engines and 57 Duke temporary bridge power engines, with added monitoring and testing conditions. These are separate air authorizations; the August 28 announcement does not establish that the campus or engines began operating.

  3. Yadkinville explains its August decision against a data center moratorium

    · Town of Yadkinville

In its August 27 statement, the Town said it would not initiate a separate data center hearing or impose a moratorium under the circumstances then before it. That dated position does not establish project approval, operation or the absence of later public engagement.

  4. QTS describes water estimates for recirculating cooling systems

    · QTS Data Centers

QTS says its recirculating cooling design generally starts with approximately 615,000 gallons for each building and estimates yearly savings as high as 300 million gallons against evaporative systems. The company acknowledges water demand during construction and ordinary facility activities, without providing measurements for a named site.

  5. Meta pledges five years of support for Ohio utility assistance

    · Meta Data Centers

Meta announced a $10 million contribution to AEP Ohio’s Neighbor to Neighbor bill assistance program. The company says it will provide the funds in annual installments over five years.

  6. New Era reports county permits for Texas Critical Data Centers

    · New Era Energy & Digital

The company reports receiving Ector County development and driveway permits and says grading was still planned in the following weeks. Its August update describes further air permitting and commercial negotiations, so those permits do not establish an operating campus or completed construction.

  7. Bayonne reports adoption of data center prohibition

    · City of Bayonne

Bayonne reports that its Council adopted a prohibition on data centers across city zones and that the Mayor signed it the following day. The account says the ordinance preserves authorizations that were already final and vested, without establishing eligibility for a named project.

  8. QTS outlines a Blakely community investment ahead of construction

    · QTS Data Centers

QTS said it planned annual payments of $7.5 million for three years beginning in December 2026, before construction, and support a Community Betterment Fund of at least $28.75 million. The release describes future commitments and proposed support, not payments received, construction or facility operation.

  9. EdgeCore signs industry pledge on data center power costs

    · EdgeCore

The developer says it accepted five public principles covering new power supply and delivery costs, local hiring, and community resilience. The announcement describes a company pledge, not a project specific utility agreement.

  10. Meta outlines Texas infrastructure and community spending

    · Meta Data Centers

Meta describes its Texas campuses, grants and planned utility investment, including commitments around El Paso. The company presents water restoration and electricity cost claims that do not independently establish completed improvements, measured savings or operation at every campus.

  11. Texas governor says Meta will comply with data center guidelines

    · Office of the Texas Governor

Governor Greg Abbott said Meta committed to comply with the state’s data center guidelines and participate in its comprehensive audit. The release reports a company commitment, not a project level audit result or an enacted statute.

  12. Meta endorses Texas data center standards and community funding

    · Meta

Meta said it supports Governor Greg Abbott's approach and pledged to pay the energy and water costs associated with its facilities. The company also announced a fund for local teachers, first responders, and infrastructure; these are company statements and plans.

  13. Ohio court orders Ashville to forward referendum petition

    · Court News Ohio

The Supreme Court directed the village fiscal officer to transmit a petition concerning an EdgeConneX agreement. Its August 7 ruling left the elections board to assess ballot eligibility, so the order alone does not establish a November referendum or authorize construction.
